As technology advances, health care must do so as well. The 2021 Greater New York Hospital Symposium on “How Health Care Emergency Preparedness Has Changed Since the September 11 Attacks” presented the history of health care preparedness over the past 20 years and a look at the path ahead. The event highlighted the necessity of health care and emergency management to enact an emergency response technology architecture that allows for effective care of patients and health care workers, along with the need for advancements in cybersecurity.
