The Yale School of Public Health has partnered with the Connecticut Department of Health and the CDC to create the Connecticut Emerging Infections Program. This collaborative program monitors, prevents, and assesses the public health impact of existing, emerging, and re-emerging infectious diseases. The EIP is one of 12 such sites across the country, and it produces data—sourced from multiple health care partners—to inform public health action for prevention and control.
