New York combats false narratives during the COVID-19 pandemic

To keep false narratives from prevailing during the COVID-19 pandemic, New York public health leaders established a Misinformation Response Unit. The initiative monitored social media content to understand what false claims were spreading. Using those insights, clinicians and community partners provided culturally appropriate, scientifically accurate messages tailored to their audiences.
