The California Reportable Disease Information Exchange – Electronic Case Reporting (CalREDIE eCR) is a system that facilitates the transfer of electronic health record data to public health agencies for review and action. The health data-exchange tool enables providers to comply with the California Department of Public Health’s required reporting of certain diseases and conditions. CalREDIE eCR replaces traditional paper-based methods of case reporting for many reportable conditions, reducing reporting burdens on health care providers.
